Barbados Invites Islanders Home for We Gatherin’ 2025

Barbados has launched We Gatherin’ 2025, a year-long celebration inviting Bajans from around the world to return home and reconnect with their roots. Organized by Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI), the initiative highlights the island’s vibrant culture, history, and traditions through a series of events spanning all 11 parishes.

Since its launch in January, We Gatherin’ has welcomed both the Bajan Diaspora and international visitors to experience the island in a whole new way. Each month focuses on a different parish and theme, immersing participants in local traditions, food, music, and history.

A Call to Rediscover Barbados

“This call home to Bajans all around the world is a magnificent celebration of our island’s rich and distinctive culture,” said Peter Mayers, Director, USA, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. “We are uniting those with Barbadian heritage while simultaneously providing an ideal setting for travelers to experience the warmth of our people.”

The initiative goes beyond tourism—it’s a cultural homecoming that strengthens ties between Barbados and its global community. Each month, We Gatherin’ brings new experiences, from heritage tours and food festivals to cricket matches and live performances.
