Tyler Perry Studios (TPS) has once again opened its doors to aspiring talents in the entertainment industry with the launch of the TPS Dreamers program for Summer 2024. This six-week, paid internship offers a unique opportunity for individuals passionate about pursuing careers in film and television production to immerse themselves in nearly every aspect of running a major production studio.
Since its acquisition by Tyler Perry in 2015, Tyler Perry Studios, nestled within the historic grounds of the former Fort McPherson army base, has become a beacon of creativity and innovation in Atlanta. With a sprawling 330-acre lot featuring forty buildings on the National Register of Historic Places, twelve purpose-built sound stages, 200 acres of greenspace, and a diverse backlot, the studio stands as one of the largest production facilities in the country.
The TPS Dreamers Program aims to provide selected applicants with invaluable work experience, career preparation, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Participants will engage in various activities and projects designed to enhance their understanding of the entertainment industry and equip them with practical skills for future endeavors.
Work Experience
Interns will have the opportunity to contribute to the studio’s day-to-day operations under the guidance of department supervisors. Through hands-on tasks and observation, they will gain insight into the intricacies of production and develop specific skills relevant to their chosen fields.

Every Friday, TPS Dreamers will have the opportunity to engage with industry professionals during Fireside Chats. Guest speakers will share their experiences and offer invaluable advice, inspiring interns on their career journeys.
Pitch Project Preparation
As a culmination of their internship experience, participants will work in groups to develop and present Development Pitch Presentations to Creative Executives. These projects will allow interns to showcase their creativity and problem-solving abilities while receiving feedback from industry professionals.
Application of Learning
Interns will apply theoretical knowledge gained from academic training and university experiences to real-world production settings. Supervisors and mentors will provide feedback to help interns refine their skills and adapt to the demands of the industry.
Evaluation & Assessment
Throughout the program, interns will undergo evaluations to assess their strengths and areas for growth. Feedback from supervisors and mentors will guide their professional development, ensuring they emerge from the program as confident and capable professionals.
Field Trip
