Tyler Perry With Tina Knowles During ‘Renaissance’ Red Carpet

Tyler Perry was among the star-studded crowd that attended the premiere of Beyoncé’s “Renaissance” film in Beverly Hills on Friday night.

Perry, a longtime friend and supporter of Beyoncé, shared a photo of himself with Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, on his Instagram account. In the photo, Perry is smiling and putting his arm around Knowles, who is also smiling.

“Got a chance this weekend to see the premiere of Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé!” Perry wrote in the caption. “I’m so proud of her. She keeps going above and beyond. Showing up in full grace, full voice and adding higher layers to her own cake.”

He went on to praise the film, calling it “fun, exciting, heartfelt, a dedication, an education, a business woman, a blueprint, art, a vocalists, a dancer, an entertainer, a superstar, a mother, sister, daughter, cousin, wife, it’s brilliant.”

Perry concluded his caption by congratulating Beyoncé and her team on the film, and congratulating “all of us who get to see it!”
