The Cool Kids’ Art Club Has Arrived: Inside Luca Fine Art, Atlanta’s Boldest New Gallery Experience
By Ryan J. Dennis | Peach Pop Five!
Move over, Miami. Step aside, SoHo. There’s a new cultural tastemaker in town—and it’s right in the heart of West Midtown Atlanta.
Welcome to Luca Fine Art, a high-concept, high-style art destination that’s giving Atlanta the kind of global art energy we usually only dream about during Art Basel. I got the exclusive preview (and yes, it was that swanky), and I can confirm: this isn’t your typical gallery stroll—it’s a full-blown visual awakening.
“I wanted to bring the type of international artists you see in New York and Miami to Atlanta,” said Rodney Kazemi, owner and curator of Luca Fine Art, as we stood surrounded by works that practically vibrated with innovation. “Atlanta has an amazing art scene already, but I felt there was a missing niche—this international flavor. I think Atlanta is ready.”

Spoiler alert: we are.
The Vibe: Sculptures, Shattered Glass & Threads of Genius
Every inch of Luca Fine Art is a statement. Think: art made from steel chains, shattered glass, drywall, thread, and other unexpected materials that feel straight out of a sci-fi dream or a futuristic fashion spread.
One standout? A jaw-dropping sculpture titled “Nirvana” by a renowned Korean artist, crafted entirely from steel chain, forming the silhouette of a faceless woman. It’s giving robotic goddess meets high fashion, and you have to see it in person to believe it.
There’s also Simon Berger, the Swiss visionary creating figurative images by chiseling into glass. Yes, you read that right—he literally smashes and shapes glass into something beautiful. It’s edgy. It’s dangerous. It’s hypnotizing. And Kazemi says Berger is the reason this whole gallery came to life.
Art That Travels—Without You Having To
What makes this gallery next level? It’s not just the art—it’s the intentionality. Rodney Kazemi has spent years on the global circuit, working with artists and collectors through major fairs like Art Basel Miami, and now he’s dropping that same international heat in ATL.
“There’s no one theme. We’re open. What connects all the artists is the medium and execution. I’m drawn to creators who push boundaries,” Kazemi said.
Whether it’s wood sculptures that play with light and shadow, or ghostly figures whose reflections disappear into the void, each piece at Luca Fine Art feels like a conversation with the future.
The Location: Midtown’s Best-Kept Secret
Luca Fine Art is posted up inside the stylish St. Midas Building in West Midtown—a location that’s tucked away but central enough to feel exclusive and accessible. It’s giving gallery-goers the ideal Saturday escape: a little mystery, a little luxe, and a lot of Instagram-worthy angles.
And don’t worry, this isn’t a pop-up. “We’re here to stay,” says Kazemi. The opening exhibition will run for one to two months, followed by a curated rotation of spotlight shows featuring individual artists. Expect fresh drops and creative moments announced on their Instagram (you’ll want to turn on notifications).
Insider Tip: Where the Curator Eats
Because what’s art without a post-gallery bite? Kazemi —who’s Persian and proud—recommends Dilbar, an elegant Persian restaurant with locations in Buckhead, Inman Park, and Alpharetta. “It’s my go-to,” he says, laughing about how work has kept him out of the foodie loop lately. “But there are so many hidden gems in Atlanta.”
The Meaning Behind the Name
One last thing that might melt your heart: the gallery is named after Kazemi’s son, Luca. “He’s my only son, and the name—like this space—is inspired by him,” Kazemi said. “I hope to pass this down to him one day.”
Now that’s art with heart.
