Meet the Mixologist Behind Suwanee’s Swanky New Cocktail Lounge

SUWANEE, Ga. — Tiffany Gilbert, a seasoned mixologist with more than a decade of experience crafting cocktails for high-profile clients and some of Atlanta’s hottest bars, is bringing her expertise to Gwinnett County.

Gilbert is the owner of Twisted Martini, a cocktail lounge offering a cozy yet luxurious atmosphere with an inviting and polished aesthetic. She also runs a mobile bartending service and is passionate about the art of mixology.

“I’ve learned what ingredients mix well with others. You just learn what tastes good, what pairs well with food, and there’s a little science to it,” she said.

Bringing a taste of Atlanta’s vibrant nightlife to the suburbs of Suwanee is part of Twisted Martini’s charm, Gilbert said.

“This is a great place to go. It’s very important for the people of Suwanee to have a place where they don’t necessarily have to drive all the way to the city,” she said. “You don’t have to deal with all that [Interstate] 75 and 85 traffic to head downtown.”

Gilbert, who grew up as a military child, recalled raising her own children in Gwinnett County and embracing the area’s diversity.

“I grew up in Hawaii for eight years of my childhood. It was just amazing. I grew up with every type of person you could think of,” she told Peach Pop Five. “That culture is very important, and it helped me along the way. It’s almost like a universal language—providing a great time and great service.”

Twisted Martini has already drawn its fair share of celebrities and high-profile cocktail enthusiasts.

“We get a lot of NBA players stopping by. We’ve had Dwight Howard, Josh Smith from the Atlanta Hawks, and DJ Shockley Wright,” Gilbert said. “Everybody comes in here and they feel safe. It’s chill, relaxed—it’s a vibe.”

The lounge prides itself on being a welcoming space for the community.

“We need the communities to sustain us. We’ve met a lot of amazing people since we’ve been open, and we want people to know we’re here,” Gilbert said.

Her signature cocktails put a twist on classics, including a lemon drop made with tequila and strawberry margaritas. Growing up partly in Kentucky, she also ensures that Twisted Martini features a curated selection of bourbons, decorated with fresh ingredients.

Patrons can also enjoy themed nights such as R&B Wednesdays, featuring $5 wine specials, and a carefully crafted tapas menu with offerings like wings and salmon bites.

“We stand on service here. I believe in instant gratification. I always want nothing but great things being said about the customer experience,” Gilbert said. “The luxury is in the service, and it’s in the cocktail.”
