LOS ANGELES — Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson headline the high-octane action-comedy The Pickup, debuting globally on Prime Video on August 6, 2025.
Directed by Tim Story (Barbershop, Ride Along, The Blackening), The Pickup follows a pair of mismatched armored truck drivers, Russell (Murphy) and Travis (Davidson), whose routine cash pickup takes a chaotic turn when they’re ambushed by a team of criminals led by the cunning Zoe (Palmer). What begins as a standard haul spirals into a day of escalating danger, unexpected twists, and fast-paced hilarity as the unlikely duo struggles to outwit the crew targeting them.
Blending high-stakes action with sharp humor, The Pickup bridges generations of comedy with a standout cast that also includes Eva Longoria, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Andrew Dice Clay, Jack Kesy, former NFL star Marshawn Lynch, and WWE’s Joe “Roman Reigns” Anoa’i.
Written by Kevin Burrows and Matt Mider, the film is produced by John Davis, John Fox, Eddie Murphy, Tim Story, and Charisse Hewitt-Webster.
With a run time of 1 hour and 34 minutes, The Pickup is rated R and delivers a mix of adrenaline, laughs, and the unpredictable energy fans have come to expect from its star-studded cast.
The Pickup will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video worldwide starting August 6.
