LAS VEGAS — Following the release of Captain America: Brave New World, a new analysis from VegasInsider’s supercomputer reveals Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) as the most successful films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The analysis evaluated all 35 MCU movies, assigning points based on worldwide gross, IMDb and Letterboxd ratings, Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes scores, and estimated return on investment (ROI). Both top-ranking films earned 16 points each.
Avengers: Endgame grossed $2.799 billion worldwide with a 686% ROI, a 78 Metacritic score, 94% Rotten Tomatoes rating, 8.4 IMDb score, and a 3.9/5 Letterboxd rating. Meanwhile, Spider-Man: No Way Home earned $1.952 billion globally, achieving an 876% ROI, 71 Metacritic score, 93% Rotten Tomatoes rating, 8.2 IMDb score, and 3.83/5 on Letterboxd.
The rest of the top 10 includes The Avengers, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Guardians of the Galaxy, Captain America: Civil War, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Thor: Ragnarok, and Spider-Man: Far From Home.
At the other end of the spectrum, The Incredible Hulk (2008), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) ranked lowest, scoring zero points.
