Atlanta McDonald’s Donates Nearly $94,000 for Giving Day

The golden arches of McDonald’s restaurants across Atlanta illuminated the spirit of giving on Monday, March 11, as more than 290 locations joined hands to support Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Atlanta residents flooded the restaurants, generously contributing to a remarkable cause. The result? An awe-inspiring $93,957.65 was raised, directly benefiting families with critically ill or injured children receiving medical treatment in the area. This significant contribution will go directly towards supporting the Atlanta RMHC’s mission of providing comfort, care, and support to families who are in immediate need.

The proceeds will also go toward building a bigger Ronald McDonald House to serve more families, providing a comfortable place to stay near the hospital, nutritious meals, and all the comforts of home. This year marks the 45th Anniversary of the opening of Atlanta’s first Ronald McDonald House. Customers who visited any McDonald’s location in the Greater Atlanta and North Georgia areas not only savored their favorite meals but also directly contributed to RMHC’s noble cause. In a delightful surprise, patrons at the Powder Springs McDonald’s on Dallas Hwy and the McDonald’s on Northside Drive in Atlanta were greeted by some local celebrities.

Airious Bailey, John Bol, and Karter Knox, 2024 McDonald’s All-American Basketball stars, swapped their jerseys for McDonald’s aprons, serving up smiles alongside orders.
